The Climate Leadership Council is searching for a Vice President to help implement and lead its rapid start-up process, including its programmatic and constituency building work in the United States. The Vice President will work closely with the President and other senior staff in the planning, development and execution of the organization’s strategy, including outreach to business constituencies and new strategic partners, and some fundraising responsibilities.
Successful candidates should have an advanced degree in business, economics, political science, environmental science, journalism or a related field, and at least seven years of experience in the private, public or non-profit sector, at least some of which is in leadership positions. We are looking for candidates with exceptional managerial, operational, communications and strategic planning skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment. Prior experience in the climate field is beneficial but not necessary.

The Program Associate, based in Washington D.C., will undertake a mix of administrative, research, writing and event planning responsibilities in a fast-paced start-up environment. Candidates should have strong communication, research, analytical and organizational skills along with a relevant background in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy or Environmental Science.
